Kendra Johnson,
oboe and English horn


Kendra Johnson has been enjoying a multivarious career. She has maintained an active teaching studio for over ten years and taught oboe and music theory at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. She has had considerable production experience - working at Seattle Opera, running a recital series at UCLA, and, most recently, as a founding board member and board president of Chamber Orchestra Ogden. She has also delighted in performing in orchestras around the world - in Germany, Japan, Los Angeles, Washington State, and in Utah where she frequently performed with the Utah Symphony.

Kendra holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Theory and Composition from Arizona State University, and a Master of Music in Oboe Performance from UCLA. She has studied with Marion Kuszyk, Robert Stephenson, Gary Moody, and Martin Schuring. She currently resides on the Pacific island of Guam.
